On-screen appearances in the film The Black Swan have cast a light on the adventuresome spirit and vast musical gifts of violinist Tim Fain, who has emerged as a mesmerizing new presence on the music scene. Philip Glass, through his compositions and his wide-ranging collaborations with artists from Twyla Tharp and Allen Ginsberg to Woody Allen and David Bowie, has had an extraordinary and unprecedented impact upon the musical and intellectual life of his times. His newest creation is a solo violin work written for Fain, and it is paired with the masterpieces by Bach that inspired it.

Tickets $30, $15
